Seller Responsibility

Last updated March 2026. Maintained by the Signal platform team.

Signal is a broadcast platform, not a marketplace. Sellers on Signal operate as independent businesses and are the merchant of record for every sale.

You are responsible for

  • Payment processing through your own checkout provider (Shopify, WooCommerce, Stripe, PayPal, Square, or equivalent).
  • Fulfillment — packing and shipping every order according to your stated shipping policy.
  • Taxes — collecting and remitting sales tax, VAT, or GST in the jurisdictions where you operate.
  • Returns and refunds under your published return policy.
  • Chargebacks, disputes, and any related payment-processor communications.
  • Product accuracy — descriptions, pricing, inventory counts, and legality.
  • Customer service — responding to buyer questions, order status, and post-sale support.

What Signal provides

  • The live-video broadcast, chat, and product-pinning tools.
  • Your storefront page and shoppable replays.
  • Click tracking on your Buy buttons for your analytics.

Trust language

Every product and stream on Signal is labelled Sold and fulfilled by [Seller Name]. Signal will never present itself as the merchant of record.
